Listen! I might be placing my foot into my mouth right now but at 213 pounds, I don’t even care. I was doing so good while on my healthy eating streak (smoothies, exercising at the gym and drinking plenty of water) but the minute I started dating someone who’s eating habits did not align with mine, the pounds quickly began to add up. I understand that no one forced me to eat but when we went out to eat almost once a week, I lost sight and sight of the “no meat” diet. “Buffalo and Lemon Pepper wings” became my favorite and the weather outdoors became “too cold for me to work out.”
Those were my excuses so let me be and stop judging!
Last week, I posted a survey on my Instagram (@The_Fire_Jayde) and on the FB profile @TheFireJayde which questioned:
The response was amazing! To make things more “at home,” the survey was presented to men only between the ages of 18-65 who resided in Georgia. Of the replies, there were a few men who’s answers stuck out the most. A majority felt hair length did not matter with only a handful stating it does.
When I use to online date, I would limit my photos to strictly ‘shoulder and up’ poses. Now this might sound ridiculous but I didn’t want to be viewed as a piece of meat. I never cared for all of that attention like your IG models who were constantly popping up on the timeline wearing provocative clothing.
Nothing against you beauties: I just didn’t want them to focus more on the physical than anything else. Now that I look at all of the photos I posted, I realize that my dating profile favored more of a hairstyle catalog than anything else.Continue reading
